Hall Stand

The ideal investment for your entryway organization is a hall stand or hall tree.  Once you make the investment, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it before…

The ideal investment for your entryway organization is a hall stand or hall tree.  There are a wide range of different designs available and depending on the style of your home as well as the amount of space you have available, you are sure to find something to fit the bill.

Hall trees are generally made from either wood or metal and due to the fact that is often located near the front door and far more prone to the elements, you’ll want to ensure that the wood is treated or that the metal frame has a protective coating.

There are three specific designs when it comes to the amount of area you have to allocate your hall stand.

1.  Limit space such as right at the door with little or no floor space on offer will benefit from a wall tree.  These are mounted against the wall and include shelving for keys and purses as well as hooks for hats and coats.

2.  Slim or slender hall stands are great for smaller spaces, but that have enough floor space to take advantage of a bench or closet.  Not only do they keep the entryway clean and tidy, but are also classic looking pieces of furniture.

3.  Full sized Hall Trees might include a mirror, bench or storage space as well as having space for umbrellas, coats and purses.  You may want to invest in a design that includes cubbies or shelving for glove storage or other such items

Although there are many different designs available, you may wish to invest in something a little more special and an antique wall stand might be just the thing.  In addition to being functional, they are beautifully crafter pieces of furniture.
